I was lucky enough to be between the 413 fans at cinema event
yesterday, sept. 15, in São Paulo.
I got surprised with the different ages of
fans.
I could see from
teenagers to "more experienced" people; gothics, and also executives wearing
black tie. And there was some channel televisions, radios and magazines journalists
covering the event.
I was also lucky enough to win one promo CD released in Brasil, with the "New Killer
Star" song!
Image and sound were perfect! I would never imagine how it could be so perfect!
In the first part, David performed wonderfuly some songs from Reality new album, then he
started answering - live - questions from fans at cinemas.
If I well remember, he answered three questions from Canadá, one from Rio de Janeiro, one
from São Paulo, one from Campinas and two or three from New York. Although my english
listening is not so good, I could understand some parts.
I really liked the questions! They were very intelligent IMO: what DB would be if he was
not a singer (he didn't know); the secret of his longevity; the difference between
releasing an studio album and a live performance; his professional relation with George
Harrison; etc.
After the Q&A section, the show was back at screen. Fans at my cinema almost got crazy
when he started performing "Hallo Spaceboy"! The sound was really excellent! The
best performance I've never seen! "Fantastic Voyage" was a brilliant performance
too, and it was funny when he forgot "Modern Love" lyrics! He finished singing
"New Killer" for the second time.
David is looking and singing very well for his age. Is not any person that could perform
lots of songs without stoping to relax.... And his voice is still wonderful!
The band performance was really excellent IMO. The group have harmony. I think Bowie has
the best band of his carreer.
It was a special experience to myself... and I am sure I will never forget!
